datasource - Spotfire - Data source reference missing while moving library & data source from 5.5 to 6.5 server -

steps followed:

  1. from 5.5 server, exported data source & library(elements/infolinks/reports) 2 separate exports
  2. copied these files 6.5 folder (tomcat/application-data/...)

  3. from 6.5 server,

    a. imported data source first (need edit , input password , save it. otherwise giving me error)

    b. import library items(3 parts).

at point, getting error missing references (mainly data source not referenced). logs attached. tried multiple times of deleting/importing different combinations of replace/add new items etc.

setup details:

  1. spotfire database on 5.5 oracle (express edition) whereas on 6.5 ms sql server(trial version)
  2. data source being imported & exported mysql.
  3. both 5.5 & 6.5 on same physical server , running 1 @ given time.

my questions:

  1. is there specific sequence in order export(5.5) & import(6.5) library & data sources?
  2. does both datasource & library has exported & imported in 1 single shot or missing something?
  3. how resolve this?

i had similar issues, doing export/import process 5.0 6.5. however, following steps solved issue:

  1. export , import data source(s) first (it can done if keep data source(s) in separete folder)
  2. export , import elements/columns (again can done if have these in separate folder)
  3. export , import infolinks
  4. export , import reports
