Cannot paste code into Google script -

i trying paste sample code google script tutorial script editor instructed - code not transferred. highlight sample code, right click & select copy, position on google script editor, remove existing code instructed, right click , paste , nothing gets transferred. prove copy worked pasted notepad. ideas? have windows 7 & ie11.

help!

some fields designed not accept paste data, see allot on register forms forced type in email , password manually, maybe happening there.
