oracle - Connecting SQL Developer 1.5.4 to tnsnames.ora -

i having trouble establishing connections tnsnames.ora while using sql developer 1.5.4. have looked @ other threads on site , have told me go tools> preferences > database > advanced > tnsnames directory. missing option connect tns directory , getting option "advanced parameters" instead of "advanced". body know find option on sql developer 1.5.4? sorry won't let me post image.

i don't think can. @ work, dbas years ago started keeping current tnsnames.ora on network share, still had maintain local versions people using sql developer until relatively recently. honest, don't remember version option introduced select directory, quite confident later version you're on. jamabing says, it's free , don't need install it, why not upgrade anyway?
